What is PVD?
PVD is short for Physical Vapor Deposition.
Physical vapor deposition is a process in which a solid material such as Titanium, Zircinium, Chrome or many other Metals are vaporized in a vacuum chamber and deposited into the surface of a part atom by atom, this process is bonded at the molecular level and creates a surface condition rather than a coating on the material surface.
These finishes are extremely durable, they do not wear or oxidise like painted, powder coated or plated finishes. PVD finishes do not require continual maintenance, oiling or waxing like plated finishes. PVD is also used for high end tapware due to its lustre and durability.

PVD Durability
Our PVD range of colours are created by depositing titanium into the surface of the stainless steel which creates a hardened surface finish (Roughly 10x harder than the original stainless steel) that has a high wear, scratch, corrosion and chemical resistance.
PVD Coating is far superior to conventional coating methods such as electroplating or powder-coating.
